Latest Rituals

“Our greatest cities sin through indifference;  / And so they falter beneath their own weight.”
“With not a word being said, / I accepted my title of dove.”
“I ignite a match and think of our ancestors / as though they were just upstairs…” 
“We were Jewish, we didn’t believe yet still so enthusiastic to receive…”
“The names go on and on, / the rabbi’s voice unwavering…”
“Reclaim the holy. Prove it again, one bright flame at a time, one more memory of why we do this.”
“May there never again be war.  Wasn’t war  lifetimes ago? Who wants war?” 
“This is when / enormous red warmths / reply to November wind. “
“Soft layers of quiet are my dowry…”
