Latest Rituals

“May a global choir rise up / To sing the song / Our souls are meant to sing…”
“But I can feel the wisdom of kindling again and again, making it a daily endeavor.”
“May our love be wide enough to reach the whole world, / and strong enough to help heal it.”
“The tiny fires / of Shabbat / rely on their wicks / to shine light / as the sun descends.”
“The seeds of our better selves Poised to sprout in rays of sunshine…” 
“No one knew it would take 40 years of manna and complaints and lugging everything we owned…”
“When I open the door this year / I want to see Elijah in the doorway for real…”
:But this year, we put a warning whistle on our Seder plate. And we will continue.”
“Apple, nuts, egg and spice, and this unleavened bread, we raise up…”
“In this tender time, / tears crest the rims  / of white finger bowls / set out at even intervals…”  between seltzer bottles.
