Latest Rituals

“Has darkness / settled upon us? Ninth plague? Can you see the way forward?”
In memory of Renee Nicole Good, z’l, a poet and a mother
“The held-back sea, somehow both still and moving— / it pulls her back to kneeling by the river…”
“letters spinning out to form new words, new rites, inviting new voices to weave old songs into new traditions?”
“My rabbi advises to seek the light in another’s eyes. And to speak of this, / you must name the other first.”
“Will they be man or woman? /   the angels asked.  / They are neither and both, said God.” 
“Blessed are the souls / As they leave the Temple of body…”
“Infinite Source of All, / As darkness threatens, / Enable me to join/ The Light of Redemption…”
“A coat of armor, as it were / A sling-shot and insult-repelling coat”
“Our greatest cities sin through indifference;  / And so they falter beneath their own weight.”
