“For the length of a medical visit my imagination roamed the wreckage of another’s mind and hers, mine…” 

“they are far / unreachable / underground…”

“In truth, / I just want them home…”

“What about welcoming the / stranger, I whisper…”

“And I wish / The fields of Israel’s kalaniot — red poppies — / Were all that were needed to generate peace”

“Waiting for the release of the Hostages / Waiting for the end of the War / Waiting for the rebuilding of Gaza…”
