Gathering Shalom

As the sun sets upon another day,
G-d paints the clouds red and pink
Atop the clean blue sky
Dotted with birds flying to their nests for the night.

As darkness slowly moves across the land
Candles are lit in homes
Welcoming a time of peace
And signaling the start of a different time.

Shabbat shalom.

We gather around our tables
Singing songs of joy,
Prayers of hope and resilience,
And relax into this renewed portion of our lives

We gather in our synagogues
Bound by tradition,
Rejoicing in our sacred community,
Celebrating our commitment to tikkun olam.

Shabbat shalom.

Learning to Say "We": Writing Identity

In this immersion, we will reflect and expand on our personal experiences of identity, using writing exercises and in-depth discussions to think about, challenge, discover, explore, and experiment with different ways to identify ourselves, to consider how those ways connect us to and separate us from others, and how they represent and misrepresent aspects of who we are.

Four sessions, starting June 15th
