Counting the Uncountable

i want to live in a world where they know every part of us that they’re not talking about

our grandmother’s name your favorite necklace the way we hold our coffee cup pinky in and then out when someone watches the baseball diamond you scored your first home run in the way the light hits the glass of our front door what we would do if we had no bills and just ran

i want to live in a world where i
we
where the whole world does not merely know a body
my body
your body
in death

where we can only tell of life

amen.
