Prayer for After Reading Megillat Esther

Two people examine a large megillah scroll with colorful illustrations and Hebrew text, pointing at different sections.

Source of all that is, bless us this Purim
with the healing gift of laughter
and help us to recognize the ridiculous
even when it is in ourselves.

Teach us always to choose life, to pursue justice,
and to rise above vengeance.
Let your love heal all who suffer.

May it be Your will that we work toward a world
with respect among all peoples and nations,
and let us say: Amen.
