Roll the Resources to the Peacemakers

water rolls through a log

roll the resources today to the peacemakers

make the sparse empty tree
of an in-the-beginning Torah,
a bare wooden knob
with only one roll of skin
and a few words for company,
chaos and void

become instantly fat
full, replete, abundant
with all the resources
of an and-this-is-the-blessing Torah

and Moses died at the kiss of Shekhinah
his eye had not dimmed
and his strength had not gone
and no one knows to this day where he is buried
and the people wept and wailed for Moses

May all the resources of Deuteronomy
D’varim, these things,
a long life, to 120!
fill the peacemakers’ accounts!
Sheikh Ghassan,
parents forum
abrahamic reunion,
hand to hand,

may women and non-binary and trans and queer leaders
overflow with what is needed
for the work of peace
like when Moses has to say
stop bringing the gifts,
we have too many

May all the resources of the f-16
and the tanks and the Lockheed Martins
easily, painlessly flow
as a beaver decides to release her dam
across the stream
and the water stops pooling deeply and clearly in
the place
and easily moves to the next place

so may the peacemakers have every resource
all the time for
research and development
goes into studying
the causes and conditions of peace and safety

the cry rises from every throat –
may this never happen again!

not one more bereaved family
the parents circle:
the group that wants to have zero
additional members

may all the disparate intelligences gather
to seriously answer this question
what must we do to ensure that this—
by this —the mind reaches, gasps
spares the completion of the image
never happens again

may the funding flow
to the grandmothers
and to the youth
