A Lament of White Supremacy

a protestor stands in the middle of a crowd at night holding a sign that says "White Silence is Violence"

while you were playing the game of ‘whom is worst?’

a stranger there passed you by

have we become so familiar that we have memorized the Great Lie

oh the memory of other hearts, hands, feet and eyes!

our ancestor and everyone else’s weeping sigh

the dead are alive
as the idle living go again to die
