Invite people. Refer people.
Write references for people.
Comfort people.
Text people.
Check-in with people.
Pay the rent or the grocery or internet bill for people.
Do laundry for people.
Give away your streaming passwords to people.
Make meals and care packages for people.
Offer to do childcare for people so they can get that job, or so they can subsist when they lose that job.
If you see a neighbor kid in the shop, buy the kid and their friend their favorite baked goods.
Help set up a portable accessible toilet seat for people.
Make a garden and invite people to collect the harvest.
Lend your suits and shoes to people.
Mention where there is affordable housing to people.
Speak people’s names with dignity and respect when other people have no idea who they are, or simply don’t care to find out.
Listen to people.
Be changed by people.
Don’t hold onto it, this life, so much, you know?
People are people.
Not things.
Do for people.
But especially.
Free people.
It costs nothing to free people.
Except maybe your insecurity, pride and fear.
