El Malei Rakhamim for Victims of Traffic Violence

Traffic violence is a term used to describe the epidemic of death and serious bodily injury on our roadways.

To the fully compassionate and merciful Presence:

You crafted the Earth to be a safe place for all of Your sacred creatures.
We know far too well that we humans have failed to partner and realize this vision.
Our roads and streets remain far too dangerous for walkers, bikers and drivers alike.

It is today with deep heaviness in our hearts that we entrust to You
the souls of our dear ones who lost their lives to traffic violence.
Young and old, adults and children.
They have now entered eternity.

May they find the gift of perfect peace in your gentle embrace.
May You hold them close to You forever,
and may their memories move us to build a safer Earth for all.
May You forever enfold them in the embrace of Your wings.
May they rest in peace.
And may their memories always be for a dear blessing.

Amen.
