A Prayer for Shavuot

Person wrapped in a blanket watches the sun rise over mountains

Matrix of the Holy Blessed One,
As we stand together
To celebrate our Anniversary with
You, Our Beloved,
May we know that the Torah
We receive,
Is the Torah that we are
To bring into
The Healing of this World.

As we tremble
With the shofar
At the base of the mountain
As Awe cracks open our heart,
Revealing its Golden Crown,
We remember Ruth,
“Wherever you go,
I will go”.

We come to know our self,
As we come to know
The Divine within us.
For it is
Only within the dynamic
Of Loving relationship,
That we can move from
Ani to Ayin:
That delicious dissolution
Of the ego
Within the blessed gift
Of the silence.
