The Musaf that is Our Life

Gray stones with Hebrew words written in black, piled together closely in a group.

From Aleph to Tav

The world was created.

From Tav to Aleph

All is returned.

We sing Your praises

In shimmering letters

Unbounded by the tarnish

Of this world:

Refreshed and renewed.

An acrostic

Prayed in reverse,

As Shabbat letters

Restore.

Teshuvah.

We will return,

Through the Musaf,

The Addition,

That is our life:

Our singular letter,

A Holy reprise,

Back into the Olam;

That deepest

Of silence.

Beyond the veil

Into the Infinite vastness

Of all that is Potential;

A welcoming back home

Embraced by the comfort

Of having been

Stilled.
