Re’eh

“See, I set before you this day, a blessing and a curse. Choose blessing.”

It’s “Water Cooler Wednesday”,

In this, the second week

Of your retirement.

Facing you across the altar that is our table,

In our downsized 1 bedroom hipster condo.

You with pen,

Me, facing type,

Having sung ourselves closer,

We settle into writing.

And, between the silence,

Of my own heart beating,

A poem hums me back,

Back to you.

Sofer.

Learning to Say "We": Writing Identity

In this immersion, we will reflect and expand on our personal experiences of identity, using writing exercises and in-depth discussions to think about, challenge, discover, explore, and experiment with different ways to identify ourselves, to consider how those ways connect us to and separate us from others, and how they represent and misrepresent aspects of who we are.

Four sessions, starting June 15th
