Esther’s Blessing on Finding Our True Name

between a myrtle and a star,

i choose to envision woman as a calendar day,

savvy enough to observe her place in the universe

and radical enough to serve the creation of a new world

and break slavery’s chain.

we are worth more than every title and role assigned.

and when we choose our life and call out our true name, we master time, becoming the ultimate maker of our fate.

each of us has the power
to be a woman,
to be a human being
to decide
and to accept nothing less.

Learning to Say "We": Writing Identity

In this immersion, we will reflect and expand on our personal experiences of identity, using writing exercises and in-depth discussions to think about, challenge, discover, explore, and experiment with different ways to identify ourselves, to consider how those ways connect us to and separate us from others, and how they represent and misrepresent aspects of who we are.

Four sessions, starting June 15th
