Bo: Come Here, to the Hardened Heart

Come here, to the hardened heart;

The heart of pain and fear;

Confusion and loss;

Arrogance and hubris.

Come, here, to the hardened heart

So that you will know,

I am in all places.

The blood on the door frames

Of our private Mitzrayim

Has turned to letters.

And from the letters

Comes the first born –

V’Ahavta.

Love.

The first step in my leaving,

The first step in my coming home;

Love.

The first step

Toward the hardened heart.

The first step

In knowing Echad.
