A Birthday Poem of Gratitude

In honor of my birth
And my choice to live and to be here
I would like to bless us
To listen to and to hear the melody beneath and in the depths of all things
To go naturally, and simply, and glowing on the face of the earth
That the power of love and peace shine in us and on our way
That we will be able and allow ourselves to love and be loved
That we will return to speaking the language of magic with the power of creation, one to another,
That our inner fountain open for us to drink and be watered
That we contain and caress the pain that is given space
That the powers of manifestation will be realized in our thoughts, words, and deeds
I bless myself with renewed closeness to my beloved children,
With each and every one, with a fierce love, full of my life, and to my beloved
To all those dear to me in my life (both nearby and far away), to my beloved family
With abundance flowing within me and without
With fierce, fervent dancing, full of love for the great spirit,
Thank you for the privilege of living
Thank you for this morning, for air to breathe, for the scent of honeysuckle and jasmine,
For pulsing hugs, for birds’ tweets,
For everything that was and will be, and thank you for everything I have right now.
