Alchemy of Teshuvah

woman blowing a handful of confetti into the night

The Ba’al Shem Tov teaches,
“Mighty creatures make His word”.*

And I am comforted.

Words, sanctified,
Through the flow
Of Eitz Hayim
Break open
The waters
Of Shekhinah’s
Earthbound womb.

Words are transformed.
Words become acts.

With the heart space, beautified
An eternity of healing
Moves in balance
With humility.
May my words be embodied.
May my life be lived as prayer.

In an act of
Teshuvah,
I pick up the phone.

*Psalms 103:20
