A Separate Conjoining

Lay down, Gevurah.

Ready yourself.

Even God abandoned the original plan.

A world ruled only by stern judgment

Cannot endure.

Ein Sof,

That complete fullness,

Utterly empty,

Strikes hard,

Thinning your lining,

Rendering boundaries permeable.

The ego withdraws,

An echo of Tzimtzum;

The Infinite touching the finite.

Hesed, propelled fiery energy of Abba,

Driven into Gevurah, Imma, and the Law.

From the diffusion of these two attributes,

A firmament spread.

And in the brightness of their coming together,

A shattering awakening;

A dry womb,

Transformed;

A rich, enriched, fecund soil,

And all around,

The shimmering Holy Letters,

The blood of Torah

Nourishing mitzvot;

The organs.

In the concealment of Gevurah;

Restraint.

In the revelation of Hesed;

Loving kindness.

Life force and light.

This is no contradiction,

No dissonance.

Opposed by nature,

Hesed, and Gevurah

Conjoin, opposites within unity.

We are intended to struggle.

Yet there is no cause to battle.

This is the love,

And the violence;

Origin of

A new creation.
