Your Radiant Face

Plunged into
a season of plague
& grief,
unable to leave the house,
unable to touch you,
how much I count
on seeing your face first flicker,
then appear
out of the computer screen’s darkness,
how much I count
on your countenance,
on your lively features,
your sparkling eyes,
the curve of your smile,
the warmth of your gaze
Your face, like Moses’ face
when he returned
from encountering the Divine
luminous, radiant,
shining.
