Standing at Sinai with George and Regis

Regis Korchinski-Paquet

George Floyd

may your memories be a blessing
may we live now to bless your memories

“we were all at Sinai”

but too many of you
fixed your
eyes upon
The Mountain

so desperately that
generations
you could
not dare imagine
are
at this moment uncontrollably
weeping

can you
look up
and
see
the thunder
can you embrace
the unwritten
time
the unfinished rhyme
of g-d’s perfect storm

of your unseen ancestors
raining down
breaking apart the floodgates of heaven?

torah is a teardrop
torah is a wave
torah is change
we are change

Heavenward
