Shomer T’filah for Klal Yisrael

Field of red flowers under a cloudy sky at sunset, with sun setting near the horizon and trees silhouetted.

guard me from who I once was                                          ken y’hi ratzon
guard me from absence in this moment                           ken y’hi ratzon
guard me from evil intent                                                    ken y’hi ratzon
guard me from who I may become                                     ken y’hi ratzon

guard those who cannot guard themselves                        ken y’hi ratzon
guard those who in striving fail                                             ken y’hi ratzon
guard those who in rent garments stumble                        ken y’hi ratzon
guard those who cannot guard against themselves           ken y’hi ratzon

guard us against tribal instinct ingrained                             ken y’hi ratzon
guard us against idols: for us, of us, to us, within us          ken y’hi ratzon
guard us against    our want      to possess                             ken y’hi ratzon
guard us   here     not to commit    the unjust now               ken y’hi ratzon
