Seeds of Hope

Field of yellow dandelions in bloom under a clear blue sky, with trees in the distance on the right.

While cities smolder, we prune our petals

Roses bloom in radiant resistance
Dandelions scatter like wild prayers
Sunflowers reach for distant suns
Moonflowers unfurl in soft mystery
Peonies open with forgotten truths

As our gardens blossom this spring
Life continues as it always has

Flowers do not flinch at tyrants
They blossom through tempests
Blind to battle cries

They speak in silence, steadfast and true
We, the quiet students, prune and wait
As seeds of hope sprout
For future generations
