Is this hot fraught taut knot of vexation
wrought by monstrous malefactions
of factions fed fictions?
Of petrified hearts holding hate, hard of fearing?
A harrowing horror perforates integrity!
Hollowed whole! Don’t fall in.
Now nothing’s casual in the ties
parlous pain reigns, inexorable and keen.
Atrocities across cities!
Ferocity’s fury fiercely pierces
vulnerable vestiges of peace
and harm monies core us all.
Who will bathe heated heads with cool clarity?
Then thaw flawed hearts with warm humanity?
And hold trembling hands until scared melts to sacred?
And holey heals, holy anew.
