Renewing Creation Daily

sunrise in the background of thin stalks of plants
וּבְטוּבוֹ מְחַדֵּשׁ בְּכָל־יוֹם תָּמִיד מַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית
U’v’tuvo mekhadesh b’khol yom tamid ma’aseh bereishit
With goodness, daily renewing continually the work of Creation

If renewal calls me to translate differently each morning …
The primeval soup is stirred each day by the spoon of the CHEF, seasoning its pungent flavors – with goodness.
The warp and the weft are shuttled through each day by the WEAVER, through the tapestry hued – in goodness.
The wheel is rhythmically pedaled by the foot of the POTTER, as hands shape marvelous beings – in goodness.

Renewal is the foundational
perpetual
potential
eternal source of metaphor
for the unfolding of the universe in God’s goodness
as I stand, awestricken, anew.
