The Two Jerusalems: A Rebuke

Are there truly two Jerusalems?
And what if the so-called Other is an imagining of our ancestor?
A lingering in the shadows of your Great Mountain?

Adonai yireh
Maybe G-d did forsee.
That, instead of I and You
There has been
And there remains
Only us.

Our opposites like our forced peace will break us.
But the remembrance that we come from
Each other
Will provide for all of us.
In all our days on this Earth
And beyond.
