Blessed are You, Holy Guide,
for cradling us in Your care
with every breath.
Every day in the morning blessings,
we thank You
for making our steps firm,
hamekhin mitzadei gaver.
In this time
of turbulence, sickness and violence,
we lean into Your guidance
like wobbly-legged toddlers.
Thank you for steering us
especially when we are shaken
by fear.
