Grant wisdom and discernment to the leaders,
courage and hope to the powerless.
Guide them on the path to justice.
Inspire them to turn their swords into plowshares,
to turn their callousness into empathy.
May all the inhabitants of the land
remember the teaching from our prophets:
we should conduct ourselves “not with might, nor with power, but with spirit”
so that all may live in peace and dignity.
And let us say Amen.
