Hope Rises, Softly

A small child stands beside a path next to a large field of orange flowers under a partly cloudy sky.

Somewhere

A child dreams of a garden where no bombs fall
A field of lilies bends toward the morning light

A mother whispers I love you to her newborn
A teacher sparks wonder in a young mind

A man lays down his gun and chooses peace
A soul without shelter steps into warmth

Somewhere

Hope rises, softly
Just beyond the edge of sight
Past the clamor of fear and cruelty

Like the stillness before sunrise
Like the earth, trembling gently
Before a new world blooms

In that moment before it fades
We witness the eternal love
That binds the universe
And holds us together

Then God whispers in our ears
Almost too faint to hear
Goodness always prevails
