Embracing Joy: Adar II

a crescent moon and stars seen through the lens of a cave
As the new moon of Adar II rises
we give thanks for this double dose of delight.
Two successive months of Adar in leap year
where we embrace the heavenly flow,
joy with laughter.

In Adar we commit to increasing joy:
to experience the vibration of love,
to witness God’s light shining
even during the most troubling times.
To reflect back wonders of the universe
in the offering of our open heart,
to treasure the glimpse of the sun
rising through curtaining clouds.

We pierce the darkness
with a healing gaze.
See beauty in grains of sand
a blessing to be cherished and held dear.
Honor this world
as the dwelling place of the Divine.

Be gentle with yourself,
learn to trust the mystery.
Be open to unimagined possibilities.
Smile at the unfolding rose
in the morning air.
Forgive.
Love will prevail.
