Dear G-d, Bring Us Peace

rocks on the ocean
Dear G-d, bring peace to the parts of myself that I reject.
Bring peace to the anger in the world,
peace for the moments of blind rage.
Bring love to the bombed buildings,
love that builds them back up,
kindness to the hardened souls,
softness to the bitter words,
healing for the broken world.
Peace that brings moments of clarity–
peace that’s sometimes only fleeting
but infinite in those moments
making it feel like a lifetime of love.
