We wrote this blessing in collaboration in Hebrew and English as a gift to the Ritualwell community of creators. We were inspired by Sefer Yetzirah (The Book of Creation), the classic text that describes the mystical act of creation. The blessing is written using the acronym of God’s name YHVH. In Sefer Yetzirah, various permutations of the holy divine name are used for the purposes of meditation and even magic. Jumping off from this idea, we wanted to invoke the divine name of YHVH, along with YahA name for God, as in "halleluyah" – praise God. Some people prefer this name for God as a non-gendered option., a feminine divine name, to invite the spirit of inspiration and creativity to infuse our creative work.
