Count On Telling Your Story: A Ritualwell In-Person Immersion

You told us you are ready to step away from your screen, so we are creating an in-person immersion designed just for you! Come face-to face for a day filled with creative expression.  
 
To conclude the counting of the Omer, join the Ritualwell community for a day packed with learning, connecting and exploring rituals, writing and art; all at the beautiful building and grounds of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Wyncote, PA (just outside of Philadelphia).  
 
Enjoy the company of familiar and new friends, delicious kosher-vegetarian food and choose from a variety of thought-provoking sessions.  
 
Below you will find our schedule for the day along with additional information to ensure you will have the best experience yet.

Schedule  

9:30-10:00 – Meet & Greet: Enjoy delicious pastries and beverages as you say hello.

10:00-10:30 – Welcoming: Join Elana Bell for our welcome ritual and connection.

10:45-12:15 – Session #1

12:15-1:15 – Lunch break: Enjoy indoor or outdoor lunch (weather permitting) with friends.

1:30-3:00 – Session #2

3:15-4:00 – Reflection and Sharing: light snacks and beverages will be provided.

The retreat will be held in a wheelchair accessible space.

Allergies and Food Restrictions  

All food allowed at the RRC building is kosher-vegetarian only. Ritualwell will be providing all the food, snacks and beverages for the day.  

If you have food allergies, even minor ones, please inform us ahead of time through the registration form. We will make sure to accommodate your needs and provide a safe environment for you to be able to enjoy the food and the learning.  

Health Policy  

With great care to the wellbeing of our community members, we take necessary precautions to create a safe and welcoming learning environment. If you feel symptoms of illness (such as: fever, chills, runny nose, cough etc.) we will ask you to take precautions and stay at home to limit your chances of infecting others.  

You are welcome to wear a mask, though it is not mandatory for your participation. We will ask to respect each person’s decision regarding their masking preference and to not force or limit a participant’s use of a mask.  

Travel and Overnight Stay Options  

The Reconstructing Rabbinical College is located at 1299 Church Rd. in Wyncote PA. The college is accessible by car or train, and there is parking on the premises.  

If you would like to stay overnight in the area, we recommend the following boarding options*:

If you are interested in joining the in-person Immersion but experiencing financial hardship, please contact us at ritualwell@reconstructingjudaism.org regarding financial assistance.  

Cancellation Policy 

All attendees must register and pay in advance to participate in the in-person Immersion. We will not be able to accommodate same-day attendance. Want to bring a friend? Send them the link to learn more and register!

Plans can change. We strive to accommodate our participants as best we can. However, to ensure fairness and the smooth operation of the in-person Immersion, we have established the following cancellation policy:

The deadline for canceling your reservation is June 2, 2024.

Cancellations on or before June 2, 2024 will be fully refunded less a non-refundable processing fee of $35. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after June 2, 2024.

To cancel your reservation, please notify us via email as soon as possible. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the cancellation request. Please note that it may take additional time for the refunded amount to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

 Writing a spiritual autobiography helps you to discover how teachers, touchstones, symbols and stories have led you to make meaning and understand the sacred in your personal story. In this immersion, join Ritualwell’s Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer, a writer and spiritual director, to map out and narrate your most sacred life experiences. Four sessions starting May 16, 2024.
