Rabbi Elizheva Hurvich

Rabbi Elizheva Hurvich is a freelance rabbi, teaching and leading ceremonies around the world. She/They is a Bay Area native, based in Oakland, CA. Raised by a single, widowed dad, she was taught to be courageous and open-eyed, and to explore creativity in all forms.  She grew up in an eclectic Jewish  environment which included active membership in a Conservative synagogue, as well as occasional guitar and drumming circles with the Rock and Roll Rabbis. She has studied Reconstructionism, Jewish art and history, and was ordained through ALEPH: the Alliance for Jewish Renewal. When she dies (a long time from now), she hopes to be remembered for connecting people with resources, with each other, and with themselves. She hopes to leave a legacy of having made a qualitative difference in peoples’ lives. You can find her at www.jewishjourneys.me
