Prayer Before a Medical Procedure

Healer of the Sick,

I lie here vulnerable and afraid.
Wrap me in the shelter of your wings.

Give strength to the doctor’s hand,
Let her mind be clear, her vision true.

Bless the nurse who holds my hand,
And speaks soft words of comfort.

Breathe with me, calm and eternal,
Source of comfort and ease.

If there is pain, let it be fleeting.
Hold my life gently in Your Hands.
