On Rav Kook Following Oct. 7th

Sea of Galilee
It is becoming clearer and clearer
that Oct. 7th changed me
so greatly
that I cannot even name
what changes there have been.

The Mystical, sad to say,
has left me not knowing
what to do
in the deepest recesses
of the tragically mundane.

How to reconcile
Rav Kook’s radical tolerance
in the shadow of acts
that hardly seem human?

It’s easy to see that
HaShem is asking for a lot.
