And pulled me further under.
Your love was not the anchor.
And your arms were not the life boat that carried us back to shore.
Despite the failed reaching,
All we ever needed
Was to draw forth our arms
And legs.
And swim far away from the other and far away from this place.
Rescuing our own selves
Was really the beginning
