Sit With Your Dragon

Bronze sculpture of a dragon with detailed scales and claws, set against a reddish background.

The suffering is vast:
We wonder, what can be done?

Rage & hatred rise,
dragons breathing fire,
burning the world.

Lost in delusion,
we see through eyes of fear.

Is there another way?

Perhaps
we just sit.

Sit with the dragon,
and watch it closely.

I turn inward
and watch my dragon:
hungry, fierce,
full of hate.

Each time I watch
and do not feed him,
he weakens,
his fire dims.

May we all
watch our dragons today
with patience,
with clarity,
with peace.
