Shofar

a shofar with jars of honey and apples

Birth canal of sound
Twisting and spiraling through time and space
As we bring forth with the breath and catch the vibration
The creation once again
Of the season of returning
Of the freshly born moon
Of the newly born year
Carefully cradling them in the arms of all our intentions
As we are called forth to act and to be still
To be both midwife and creatrix
To create and catch the crashing thunder blast
And to quietly listen for whispers from within
Tekiah!
Behold the unique way our singular Divinity comes into the world
Shevarim!
Hail to the Young One, the Grown One, the Old One
T’ruah!
The shards, the pieces that make up the whole
Tekiah Gedolah!
The Oneness, the unity of All
Twisting and spiraling through time and space
As we bring forth with the breath and catch the vibration
The creation once again
