A Prayer for Our Leaders

We are grateful for those who lead:
Worldwide, national, and local,
Scientists, medical personnel,
First responders and caregivers,
All who run into the fighting
When it would be easy to run away

In this time of widespread danger

May the Creator of Everything

Answer your calls for help

May the One Who Blesses Us

Bless you and keep you safe

Even as those around us are falling

May the Giver of Wisdom

Imbue you who lead us forward

With vision and strength of purpose

May the Grantor of Life

Help you to help us

As we struggle to stay alive

And may the Source of Our Souls

Bring you solutions

So that this trial may quickly pass.

Amen.
