Makor HaHayim,
Source of life and breathe,
We pray for kol Yisrael, a land and people still trembling with grief,
With longing, and with exhaustion.
Hamakom Yenahem, may the Holy OneÂ
Comfort all who sit in sorrow:
Families of the murdered,
Families of the fallen,
And all those working to free themselves from memories that shackle them to a time of terror.
Send healing to all still wounded in body and spirit,
To those carrying trauma in silence,
To children who close their eyes only to experience nightmares,
To all those working to heal from the inside out.Â
In spite of our aching hearts, Ba’al Harahamim,Â
Do not let our pain harden into cruelty.
Do not let fear become a throne for hatred.
And do not let a desire for revenge replace justice.
Instead, bless those committed to what may feel like an impossible peace
Strengthen the hands of healers, comforters, bridge-builders,
And all who continue to trust in the good of humanity,
So that compassion may rise again in the place where despair has been sewn.
Shomer Yisrael,Â
Grant discernment and wisdom to those who lead:
That they may pursue not only strength, but also righteousness
Not only victory, but also integrityÂ
Not only stability, but also harmony.
May this land know a future where security and dignity
Are not a dream for one people
And despair for another.
And may we see the dayÂ
When grief is not inherited,
When borders do not bleed,
When every life is treated as sacred.
Oseh Shalom Bimromav
Hu ya’aseh shalom aleinu
V’al kol Yisrael
V’al Kol yoshvei ha’artez.
May the One who makes peace in the heavensÂ
Make peace upon us,
Upon Israel, and all who dwell in the land.
Amen.
