We are not a People that stays behind.
We have been a People gasping in our father’s idol shop.
And a People that was enslaved, and then freed.
But we have never stayed behind.
Our task is a rebuke that is holy.
Arguing with self.
Arguing with G-d.
A holy rebuke that changes a life mired in selfishness, complicity and pain.
We do not ever, ever stay behind.
We choose to contend with the wilderness and resist.
For, we are the People of the continual going forth.
