After immersing oneself completely in the mikvehThe ritual bath. The waters of the mikveh symbolically purify – they are seen as waters of rebirth. A convert immerses in the mikveh as part of conversion. Many Orthodox married women go to the mikveh following their period and before resuming sexual relations. Couples go to the mikveh before being married. Many, including some men, immerse before Yom Kippur; some go every Friday before Shabbat.:

It is traditionally held that there are 613 mitzvot (plural) in Judaism, both postive commandments (mandating actions) and negative commandments (prohibiting actions). Mitzvah has also become colloquially assumed to mean the idea of a “good deed." and commanded us concerning immersion.
SECOND IMMERSION: God, as I stand before you, I am grateful for the breath of life that you breathed into me when I was born and the breath of life that you continue to grant me each day. I am grateful for the powerful treatments that healed my cancer, for my powerful will, which enabled me to endure the treatments, and for my loving community which carried me through this harrowing time. Without all of these things, and without you, I would not be standing here.

Thank you for surrounding me with your love and support during this cancer journey. Thank you for helping reconnect my body, mind and spirit so that they are once again in alignment.
