Echoes of Sinai

 

In the desert’s quiet breath, a voice so grand
Spoke of laws divine, etched in the sand
From Sinai’s peak, where lightning meets the sky
God’s voice resounded, a sacred lullaby

 

Ten commands, a covenant so pure
Guided hearts, made spirits sure
“One God alone, no idols to adore
Keep Sabbath holy, and honor evermore

 

From Abraham’s faith, a seed was sown
in lands unknown, his trust had grown.
One God he served, a light to all
his legacy in every call.

 

Isaac’s quiet strength, in fields of grace
taught us faith’s enduring pace.
A gentle heart, with patience rife
he cherished every breath of life.

 

Jacob’s struggle, a tale of old
wrestling angels, stories told.
From night to dawn, a nation’s name
Israel born, through joy and pain.

 

Twelve tribes sprung forth, a vibrant thread
in unity, their spirits led.
From promise, land, and blessing wide
through trials, they would abide.

 

Commandments carved in stone and heart
in every soul, they play a part.
No theft, no lies, in love abide
with justice as our faithful guide.

 

From Sinai’s fire to patriarch’s dream
a river flows, a sacred stream.
In every law, in every plea
echoes of God’s voice, forever free.

 

In faith and deeds, ideals stand
in every heart, in every hand.
The voice of God, a timeless song
guides the path where we belong.
