We come from the Ayn Sof as broken shards of creation
at the essence of each shard we find our light
There is the illusion that we are broken
It seems as though this cannot be avoided
at the essence of each shard we find our light
There is the illusion that we are broken
It seems as though this cannot be avoided
The wholeness of our light is found in the still small voice
We hope to see beyond the dichotomy we have been tasked with
so we may bring ourselves back to wholeness
We hope to see beyond the dichotomy we have been tasked with
so we may bring ourselves back to wholeness
This is our journey
On Kol Nidre, at Yom KippurThe holiest day of the Jewish year and the culmination of a season of self-reflection. Jews fast, abstain from other worldly pleasures, and gather in prayers that last throughout the day. Following Ne'ilah, the final prayers, during which Jews envision the Gates of Repentance closing, the shofar is sounded in one long blast to conclude the holy day. It is customary to begin building one's sukkah as soon as the day ends. we enter the Synagogue
As we pray to those who listen –
To the still small voice –
To Elohim –
To all aspects of the brokenness we perceive
As we pray to those who listen –
To the still small voice –
To Elohim –
To all aspects of the brokenness we perceive
We ask ourselves, together in song, in worship, in prayer
in the melodies we hear, are we willing to go deeper this year
to hear that voice, to hear the call
to the Divine
in the melodies we hear, are we willing to go deeper this year
to hear that voice, to hear the call
to the Divine
