A Prayer for Creative People

Tubes of paint and used paintbrushes lie on a messy, paint-splattered wooden surface.

Dear G-d,

Guide our thoughts and our hands when we construct our creative works. During times of self-doubt, remind us that we are made in Your image.

Carry us through the shadows of our hesitations and hold us tightly when we shake with anxiety. Let us be still and remember that You are always with us.

Speak to us gently and be patient, especially when waves of imposter syndrome seek to drown us, when hopelessness enters our minds, and when we neglect our capabilities. Awaken us from the nightmare of thinking we are not good enough.

You are the one who gives talents. You handpicked artisans to build Your Tabernacle. You call people to make art for all the world to see. We thank You for giving us our skills and the strength to push through our obstacles.

May we never forget that You are also a creator. You formed us with love, passion, and care, just the way we craft our works.
Blessed are You, G-d, who bestows creative gifts and grants confidence during uncertainty.
