A Prayer for Coming Out as A Gay Man or Boy

a pride flag

I take rightful pride in my identity
as a gay [man or boy, whichever is appropriate]
and I know the Almighty was right
to create me as such.

A variation on the prayer, for when someone comes out to you:

I know I am privileged to witness
the coming out of this gay [man or boy, whichever is appropriate].
I will strive to be worthy of this privilege in my Creator’s eyes
by opposing homophobia.
