To write is to participate in the oldest human conversation of all time. As we join this conversation, we are met with the echoes of many ancestors. In this immersion, we’ll develop a practice of writing with our ancestors. How can we learn from them, listen to them, speak back to them, and invite them into our process? These ancestors might be spiritual or familial, chosen or assigned, literary or political. This will be a generative workshop, including guided time for writing and sharing new work as well as reading and discussing contemporary poetry and biblical and rabbinic texts.
