I have been the sole rabbi at Congregation Beth El in Sunbury, PA since the summer of 2002. I began as a part-time student rabbi and was hired full time after graduation from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Winfield, PA in 2003. I also have a Master’s degree in Anthropology from New York University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.   In addition to full-time duties for Beth El, I am the Director of Jewish Life at Susquehanna University, and also an adjunct lecturer in Jewish and Israel Studies. I am the a co-founder of Sunbury Together, an interfaith clergy group dedicated to community building. With them, I created and manage The Takery, a monthly food distribution program that started with home-baked goods and has expanded to homemade meals, grocery items, hygiene and cleaning products, and fresh local produce. Check out parshapeeps.com to see my ongoing project combining Torah and Peeps.
