Fighting Tyranny

Tyrants fall
when those beneath them
buried in the remotest corner of the earth
rise above.

And the end of injustice
is not the end of evil
but a digging out of the ditch
out of death.

We are
(altogether)
a torrent of the invisible
making waves with our multitudes
and pushing up to a place
where daybreak and air
call us back to ourselves
and into future days.

Barukh atah Adonai, m’khayyei ha’metim.
